What is TRACKrun?

This event, put on by Athletics NSW & Run NSW, the event is designed for people of all abilities to try running on the track to run the classic 3k distance of 7.5laps of a 400m track.

3K is a distance that suits all levels and all ages particularly those that regularly compete in parkrun events.  TRACKrun will feature 5-6 graded races based on your entry time. This is because a 400m track will comfortably handle 40 or 50 runners at a time and it works better if all runners in a race are of similar ability.

Following your run there is then the opportunity to go across to the main stadium and watch the NSW 3000m Championships A Races on the main track. TRACKrun will have a welcoming & relaxed atmosphere. Most importantly, be ready to have some fun and try and beat your PB!

Online entries

Early bird online entries are now open and will remain open until midnight Thursday 10th November. Friday 11th November. Late entries will be received on Saturday but will incur a $10 late fee. Discount codes for members will NOT be honoured on Saturday.
Please note, all entries must be submitted online. Late entries will be accepted on the day but placement into your ideal race is not guaranteed.
Cost of entry into the RunNSW 3k is $20.

Timing
Timing will be done via the Athletics NSW timing system with results made available shortly after each wave.

Late Entries

The final timetable for the TRACKrun 3K events will be drawn up on Friday 11th November. Late entries will be placed into one of the scheduled races.

As such, on the day entries are not guaranteed and will be accepted only if there is room in the races. On the day entries will cost $35.

PLEASE NOTE: These times are subject to change depending on the number of entries.
This should be used as a guide only. The final timetable and entry list informing you of your start time will be emailed after early entries close on Friday 11 November and put on the website here.
If you have any concerns please contact the Atheltics NSW office on (02) 9746 11 22.

Seeding

PLEASE NOTE: Runners will be seeded according to the time they enter when registering. Start waves will be seeded so the fastest run will be last.

There will also be pacers in each event to help runners crack their 3K PB! Pacers will be set to run 30min, 25 min, 20 min, 15 min, 13:30 min , 12 min and 10:00 minutes! So jump on board the train and smash your PB !

Prizes

Athletics NSW is excited to have Brooks as the official partner of the TRACKrun 3k. The Brooks team will be randomly giving away a number of Brooks running shoes to help you keep up your training.

The Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre  warm up venue lies within the Sydney Olympic Park precinct.
