57 local runners turned up to take on the inaugural Dubbo TRACKrun on a perfect evening for running. The event saw a mix of ages and abilities with 46 finishers in the 3km event and 22 finishers in the 600m event.
The 600m saw the return of Hayley Arden, former National Champion on the track at high school. Hayley ran a tidy 1:37.8 finishing as lead lady in the 600 following only RunNSW Course Measurer Simon White home who enjoyed his 1:31 new PB for the distance.
The 3k event was led home by Ben Matthews in 10:16.
For many runners this was their first run on the track for many a year. Athletics NSW acknowledges the support of Dubbo City Council and Dubbo parkrun for their support in getting this inaugural event off the ground. The 2nd Dubbo TRACKrun is scheduled for Thursday 17th of March.
