Congratulations to all finishers who ran the Greater Casino Fun Run

The event was held at Queen Elizabeth Park II and on the new date of last Sunday in June. Thank you to everyone involved including the hard working volunteers from the Casino Little Athletics Club and Northern Zone, the RIchmond Valley CouncilGreater Building Society, Parker & Kissane Solicitors, Casino RSM, Scott Thompson, Peta Maloney, Samantha Elley and Hayley Hancock. The day was a perfect day for running and participants were treated to an amazing sunrise through the fog that soon lifted resulting in the most spectacular of June days.

SIMON MacQueen, originally from Casino, now Banora Point, did a big jump for joy as he crossed the finish line. He was the first to arrive back from the 10km run, followed closely by Gregan Macksa, of Alstonville, and his cousin, Robert Mison, of Casino. First female across the line Kirin Apps, of Lismore, came fourth and had tried her hardest to be on the men’s podium.
